Senior Sales Representative — Telecom & IT

📍 Oregon (Remote / Field)  •  Full-Time

The Role

Richesin Engineering does work that most companies can't or won't take on. We build fiber networks in remote Alaska, deploy Starlink systems for wildfire crews, and design carrier-grade infrastructure for utilities and ISPs. It's genuinely interesting work — and we need a sales professional who can communicate that to the people who need to buy it.

This is a hunter role. You'll identify new B2B opportunities, build relationships with decision-makers in telecom, utilities, ISPs, and government agencies, and close deals. We offer a commission-plus-base structure for someone who performs. We're not looking for order-takers; we're looking for someone who opens doors and closes contracts.

Existing relationships in the telecom, utility, or government sectors are a strong advantage. You'll be selling to engineers, procurement officers, and county IT directors — people who can smell a pitch from a mile away. Your job is to be genuinely helpful, technically credible, and persistent in the right way.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, pursue, and close new B2B accounts across Oregon and the Pacific Northwest
  • Develop relationships with decision-makers in telecom, utilities, ISPs, and government
  • Represent Richesin Engineering at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline using CRM tools
  • Collaborate with engineering team to develop accurate proposals and scopes of work
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing in coordination with leadership
  • Provide regular forecasting and pipeline reports
  • Maintain and grow existing key accounts

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in telecom, IT, or engineering services
  • Proven track record of closing complex technical sales
  • Existing relationships in telecom, utility, ISP, or government sectors strongly preferred
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical solutions without an engineering degree
  • Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and disciplined pipeline management habits
  • Comfortable with travel across Oregon and occasional regional travel
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The Honest Part

You will be selling engineering services to engineers, government procurement officers, and the guy at the county who has been using the same internet provider since 2003 and sees no reason to change. Your job is to be persuasive without being annoying — a skill that roughly 12% of salespeople actually have. If you're one of them, we want to talk.

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay commensurate with experience
  • Meaningful work on projects that matter — real infrastructure, real communities
  • Travel opportunities across Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, and beyond
  • A tight-knit team that trusts you to do your job well
  • Room to grow as the company grows
  • The satisfaction of working in places most companies won't go
