Receptionist / Office Administrator

📍 Madras, OR (In-office)  •  Full-Time

The Role

Richesin Engineering runs lean. Our teams are out in the field — on towers, in manholes, somewhere in rural Alaska — which means the people back at the office carry serious weight. As our Receptionist and Office Administrator, you are the first voice a customer hears and the first face they see. That's not a small thing.

This role covers a wide range of responsibilities: managing the front desk, handling incoming calls with professionalism and patience, keeping the office running smoothly, supporting field crews and management with scheduling and admin tasks, and coordinating with vendors. QuickBooks experience is a genuine plus — we deal with real invoices and real numbers.

We're a company built on technical people, and we're good at what we do. But we need someone equally skilled at the human side of the operation — someone organized, reliable, and capable of representing us well when the engineering team is busy climbing a tower.

What You'll Do

  • Manage front desk operations and greet visitors professionally
  • Answer and route incoming calls; take detailed messages
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate calendars for field crews and management
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Support management with administrative tasks, documentation, and correspondence
  • Maintain office supplies and manage office organization
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping and invoice tracking (QuickBooks a plus)
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and shipments
  • Support HR administrative tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of administrative, receptionist, or office management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • QuickBooks experience preferred (or willingness to learn)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing your composure
  • Professional, friendly, and patient demeanor — even on the hard days
  • Reliable transportation to our Madras, OR office

The Honest Part

You will answer calls from people who think we sell fish. We don't. You will also be the first person customers talk to, so if you're having a bad day, please have it quietly. You are the human face of a company full of people who are much better at crimping fiber than making small talk — and that makes your role more important than it might sound.

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay commensurate with experience
  • Meaningful work on projects that matter — real infrastructure, real communities
  • Travel opportunities across Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, and beyond
  • A tight-knit team that trusts you to do your job well
  • Room to grow as the company grows
  • The satisfaction of working in places most companies won't go
